Just Released Video: Revloution “Epic Swashbuckling Action”

A brand new video has just been released for REVOLUTION with new footage and commentary from JJ Abrams, Jon Favreau and Eric Kripke.

This one has a lot more action and faster pacing which gives you a better feel for the overall story, I mean the fight scenes look epic, It looks dangerous and more urgent , overall a much better video then the first trailer

Inter-dispersed throughtout the video is commentary for JJ, Jon and Erik, the first time we have heard from him.

If this is the true feel that the series is going to convey, I’m all in.

“At Comic Con that is. The new NBC series from Executive Producer J.J. Abrams, Supernatural’s Eric Kripke, Fringe’s Bryan Burk and Iron Man’s Jon Favreau has taken over the street opposite the convention center with post apocalyptic fever”.

The crew has been busy setting up this little bit of apocalytica for the last several days, and there hard work seems to have payed off

FERRIS WHEEL

From director Jon Favreau (“Iron Man,” “Iron Man 2”) and the fertile imaginations of J.J. Abrams (“Lost,” “Person of Interest”) and Eric Kripke (“Supernatural”), comes a surprising “what if” action-adventure series, where an unlikely hero will lead the world out of the dark. Literally. The series stars Billy Burke (“The Twilight Saga”), Tracy Spiridakos (“Being Human”), Anna Lise Phillips (“Terra Nova”), Zak Orth (“Rome + Juliet), Graham Rogers (“Memphis Beat”), J.D. Pardo (“A Cinderella Story”), Giancarlo Esposito (“Breaking Bad”), David Lyons (“The Cape”), Maria Howell (“The Blind Side”), Tim Guinee (“Iron Man”) and Andrea Roth (“Rescue Me”). Kripke, Abrams, Favreau and Bryan Burk (“Lost,” “Star Trek”) serve as executive producers. “Revolution” is produced by Bonanza Productions Inc. in association with Bad Robot Productions, Kripke Enterprises and Warner Bros. Television. The pilot was directed by Favreau.

Revolution at Comic-Con

Preview Night Screening Review – Revolution

With preview night coming to an end at Comic-Con 2012 we are starting to get some feedback from the lucky one’s who got a peck at this fall’s new shows from Warmer Bros. and of course Revolution was high on a lot of lists as a must see.

We have one such review form ComicsOnLine.com and Managing Editor Matt Sernaker had the following to say about what he saw:

In a world that is so reliant on electronics and power for personal comfort and daily operations, a new series called Revolution (on NBC this September) poses the question: what happens when the power goes out…permanently? The attendees at SDCC 2012 got a special sneak preview of this upcoming primetime series!

Matt would go on to give use his reasons why Revolution is the must see series this fall by saying

This awesome new series is being written by Eric Kripke (Supernatural), produced by J.J. Abrams (LOST), with the pilot episode Directed by Jon Favreau (Iron Man). One of the first things that you will notice about the show is the high quality CGI and production value of the pilot. Impressive visuals, sword fights, a dystopian future, and a solid cast, and quality writing are just some of the reasons why I cannot wait to watch Revolution each week.  I do want to note that the only way this show can be a hit is if the network truly commits and maintains this level of quality consistently. NBC seems to be aware of the gem that they have with this story, and I think they might give this the chance to capture everyone’s attention and become the must see series of 2012!

His final verdict:

ComicsOnline gives Revolution: “Pilot” 5 out of 5 amulets that we want to find at Comic-Con!

REVOLUTION

Billy Burke and Tracy Spiridakos on Working with Abrams, Kripke and Favreau

When it comes to pondering actually being in the situation the characters in ‘Revolution’ are in, Spiridakos remarked, “You know, I’ve thought about that a lot.” She mentioned to me that she was a gamer and brought up ‘Fallout’, noting, “I play that game and I love it. So I’ve kind of explored that realm of what that world would be like, and I think it’s terrifying. But it’s exciting in a way as well. It’s different.”  – Part IGN’s interview with Tracy Spiridakos and Billy Burke

New International Poster for REVOLUTION

A new international poster for ‘Revolution’ has surfaced, and on first glance it looks very simular to the successful ‘Hero’ artworks that NBC used for that show.
